This DIY woodland themed wedding was one of my favourite weddings of 2016. It was so beautiful and my Mum who kindly help me set up and I both agreed it was the nicest wedding decor we had ever seen.
There was so many details inside and outside that the very creative bride Lucie handmade herself. From the vintage material napkins, seats painted and covered in vintage material, tables made from cable spools and all her own table decorations and her own flowers (she is a very talented florist!)
So much love had been put into this wedding to make it so perfect and you could genuinely feel that love - it was wonderful.
How the wedding cake was designed/made
The lovely couple wanted to incorporate their wedding theme and likes within the cake design and cupcakes so the main cake I made to look like tree stumps and the couples names were itched into the bark. I created the bark effect with lots of textures and tools and hand painted with lustre dusts in 5 shades.
The cupcakes featured sugar succulents, daisies and hydrangeas which the couple loved, matching colours of their wedding theme and bumble bees (Lucie's fave!). Edible lace was even on one design in a honeycomb pattern!
I received such a wonderful present for the bride and groom of a lovely pot with flowers matching their wedding ones and a little knitted bumble bee honey favour, It was so cute and adorable! I also was given such a glowing review which was so kind...
"Thank you so much for all of your hard work, not just making the most amazing looking (and tasting) wedding cake and cupcakes EVER, but for all of your work in the planning process & for just being a lovely person! You really are so talented & all of our guests agree too!
We cannot recommend you enough, thank you, thank you, thank you ❤ xx Lucie and Callum"
